We at Lambent Data mourn the killings of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and so many others who have died unjustly over the course of our nation’s history. We grieve the lives lost in the COVID-19 pandemic, which has affected black and brown people at higher rates than others, magnifying and highlighting systemic disparities in our country. Much is needed to dismantle systemic racism, work against racial bias, and build opportunities so that all people can flourish. We have also seen that racial bias can be "hard-coded" into technology platforms and data products in subtle, harmful ways.
Our team is committed to making sure that our ideals are reflected in our code and in all of our work. We stand with and are dedicated to working hand-in-hand with, listening to, and learning from our community partners and the families with whom they work. We will continue to work tirelessly to provide collaborative tools that boost coordination among families, social service agencies and healthcare providers. We will continue to emphasize ways these tools can strongly equip families as they manage their health, address housing and jobs, support their children in various ways, and more. We affirm our renewed commitment to work collaboratively for equity, diversity, justice, and community-building, so that families, children, and communities across our country thrive.
