In January 2024, he retired from Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) as President of Behavioral Health Care Transformation Services. In a December 2023 award from the Mental Health Association in NJ,  Don was honored for his “pioneering work in behavioral health care, including developing innovative approaches and modeling integration of care.” During 2013-2021, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of the Carrier Clinic, which became part of HMH in 2019.
