  • Lambent Data Chosen for Pitch Stop V

The Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce (PMRC) chose Lambent Data as one of five companies to be featured at Pitch Stop V, occurring on February 23, 2023. Lambent's Co-founder and CEO Kirsten Hund Blair participated in this lively in-person event, which was held at the beautiful Grounds for Sculpture, as it had been in 2022, when Lambent had also been selected. The event attracted over 150 people, including investors, entrepreneurs, and others interested in innovation. Out of many applicants, five companies were chosen; three were chosen to pitch on stage and have display tables; the other two (including Lambent) were chosen to have display tables. Kirsten engaged in a number of conversations with fellow participants. In addition to talking about Lambent’s work as a social impact software company, Kirsten noted the opportunity for investors to apply for the 20% Angel Investor Tax Credit, which is open to investors investing in emerging technology businesses in NJ with less than 225 employees and several other conditions. Investors do not need to live in NJ to qualify for this. After the formal event ended, networking continued inside and outside. Attendees were invited to walk around outdoors through the fascinating "Night Forms: Infinite Wave" experience, with colored lights illuminating sculptures as multi-layered music played throughout the exhibits. The winner of the pitches was Innerstill, which is “a minority-owned, women-led enterprise launching wearable electroceutical products for restoring a sense of calm and increased feelings of wellbeing and inner fitness,” using patented, research-based technologies. Innerstill was represented by Ellyn Ito (Co-Founder and CEO) and Laate Olukotun (Co-founder and Chief of Product and Experience Design). Judges included Sean O’Sullivan (SOSV Founder and Managing General Partner), Gia Fruscione (Let Her Play Founder and CEO and Princeton Alumni Angels Co-Chair) and Grace Hahn (Edison Partners Senior Associate). Gretchen DiMarco (the PMRC Director of Events) and Mark Troy (PMRC Event Coordinator) smoothly coordinated with Karen Hollywood (Grounds for Sculpture Director of Corporate & Foundation Engagement) and other colleagues for the details of the evening. Kirsten and Karen are pictured below. Gabi and Mike Johnson of YourTownTube.com and FitFabandWellTube.com skillfully videotaped and photographed the event, including interviewing entrepreneurs and other participants. Here is the video in which Kirsten was interviewed about Lambent Data: https://www.yourtowntube.com/video/15980/lambent-data-at-pitch-stop-princeton-mercer-regional-chamber

  • Lambent Data at HBS Demo Day

Lambent Data team members were excited that Lambent was selected to participate in the Harvard Business School New Venture Competition Demo Day in NYC on February 15, 2023. This was the first “in-person” Demo Day in NYC for the HBS New Venture Competition since 2020. The Competition highlights entrepreneurial companies where leaders are HBS alumni. Kirsten Hund Blair, Lambent’s Co-founder and CEO, earned an MBA from HBS, as well as a MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School. To Lambent, she brings her expertise in business as well as expertise regarding social service organizations and public policy. Joe Studholme (Lambent’s Co-founder and Board Chair) joined Kirsten in representing Lambent during the event, including talking with judges, other investors, and others in the entrepreneurial community. A photo of Kirsten and Joe is below. Also pictured are Kirsten and Nina Wanerman, Program Manager, Entrepreneurs, Angels & Emerging Tech at the HBS Club of NY. Kirsten thanked Nina for her helpfulness in organizing the program! The event took place at the venue Company, in the 7th Floor Commons, at 335 Madison Avenue in NYC, which also has spacious areas for chatting in the lobby area . The OurREACH™ collaborative software platform and app, with data analytics and AI, is a HIPAA-compliant SaaS for healthcare and social service providers, to equip them to engage patients/clients more fully than current platform portals. It also connects with Electronic Health Record and Case Management systems. It empowers patients/clients to set and track goals and milestones in health, Social Drivers of Health (housing, jobs, education, financial literacy, etc.) and nurturing children; access resources; and collaborate with provider care team members via detailed features. New data analytics help providers improve programs. This all boosts patient/client outcomes while lowering overall healthcare costs. This is crucial in preventive and value-based care. Lambent has previously been chosen for and participated in highly selective programs, including the 2021 MassChallenge Accelerator, SOCAP22 Entrepreneurs Program, SOCAP21 Entrepreneurs Program, and to present a poster at the 2022 Health Datapalooza and National Health Policy Conference.

  • Let's Continue to Build "The Beloved Community"

Let's continue to work for The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King's dream of "The Beloved Community!" We at Lambent Data look forward to continuing to collaborate with those who are healthcare and social service providers and payors and with their patients, clients and members -- for more health, equity, and thriving for children, adults and families. Pictured below is part of the site of the SOCAP conference in 2022 (at which Lambent Data was glad to be chosen to present). The conference draws over 1,500 people from around the world, focused on impact. In 2023, SOCAP will again occur at this location in San Francisco, at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. This site is indeed inspiring with words from The Rev. Dr. King, including the highlighted quotation, in which he refers to the Bible verse of Amos 5:24, during his "I Have a Dream" speech during the March on Washington in 1963. Let's continue to build that Beloved Community in our own locations and around the world each day!

The Entrepreneur Cohort was also highlighted in other ways, including a separate tab in the EventMobi app and on a posterboard next to the registration center. The conference occurred at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, in nearby buildings, and in the associated Yerba Buena Gardens. Participants walking through the Gardens could see the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial waterfall monument, and hear the water rushing next to powerful inscribed quotes by the Rev. Dr. King and plants from San Francisco's sister cities around the world. Kirsten was so inspired to connect with those she met. She and other entrepreneurs continue to stay in touch via a WhatsApp group, plus other virtual and in-person interactions, as they move forward in their work, impact and travels! • First Place Win for One-Minute Pitch

During the PitchForce “Series A” virtual pitch event September 1, 2022, Lambent Data’s Co-founder and CEO Kirsten Hund Blair was delighted to win -- on behalf of Lambent’s team and the practitioners and families we serve -- First Place for the one-minute pitch! A total of nine entrepreneurs representing companies seeking funding participated, and the judges were experienced investors. The PitchForce event, organized by PeopleConnect and sponsored by Justworks, was open to the public to hear and see via Zoom. Kirsten had only learned about this on several hours notice, responding to an email invitation about pitching. While she and other Lambent team members had other meetings during this interim (not leaving much time for preparation), she looked forward to pitching! In addition to the “one-minute round,” she also pitched during the four-minute round. For this, she used our eight-minute deck and zipped through some of the slides. (Due to the short notice she didn’t have time to reformulate the deck.) She also engaged with the investors during a Q and A and heard other helpful feedback from them. At the end of both rounds, she was called back “into the presenting space” and received the attached certificate for winning the one-minute round. During this time, she thanked everyone and also invited people to attend the October 17-20 SOCAP22 in San Francisco, when she will be pitching on October 20 about Lambent live on the Main Stage in a three-minute pitch with slides! Here is more information about Lambent having been chosen for this highly selective honor as part of the SOCAP22 Entrepreneur Program, along with details on the conference. Regarding the PitchForce by PeopleConnect event, Lambent Data thanks organizers Max Shapiro, Robin Stonesifer and Jacob Lonsway, along with the experienced investor panelists and event sponsor Justworks, represented by Kevin Pryor. To talk with Kirsten, please contact her by reaching out on LinkedIn. She would be excited to hear from you and talk with you about Lambent Data and our powerful OurREACH™ HIPAA-compliant, collaborative software platform and app, with data analytics. OurREACH™ has the potential to revolutionize millions of lives while also reducing healthcare costs. It is sold as a subscription to healthcare and social service providers. It’s a first mover in improving engagement between providers and patients/clients – and empowering those patients/clients in health and Social Determinants of Health (such as housing, jobs), as well as parenting. It meshes with clinical workflows, is customizable, and integrates with EHRs and CRMs. All of this improves outcomes while reducing healthcare costs – crucial for hospitals and other providers in value-based care.

  • Thank You Summer '22 Interns!

We say a big thank you to our Summer ‘22 Interns: Hannah Chiou, Sung Cho, Olivia Elliott, Remi Fernandez, Carrie Huang, Mary Ma, Marcos Maldacena, Aliea Nallbani, Ketya Nop, Emma Seel, Alisha Shahriar, Klea Tryfoni, Sandy Zheng, and Tyler Ziesse! They have been enthusiastic and dedicated in their work. They have helped further refine Lambent's OurREACH™ HIPAA-compliant collaborative software platform & app, with data analytics, as well as prepare for roll-outs with customer organizations. OurREACH™ is built to improve patient/client outcomes, which also leads to lower healthcare costs, crucial in preventive & value-based care. Interns have developed resource content and UI/UX to equip healthcare & social service providers to engage their patients/clients much more fully than previously, whether intensively or "light touch." They've worked to make OurREACH™ even more empowering for patients/clients for milestones and goals in many arenas of health & Social Determinants of Health, and to make the UI/UX engaging on a wide variety of devices, including iOs and Android phones, tablets and desktops. They have also worked on data analytics; because OurREACH™ is so granular for patients/clients, it also generates new data analytics never before available to providers, to use to improve their programs. OurREACH™ can be used in over 100 languages, with its built-in translations. Interns have refined some of the translations and extended this language capability by developing instructional videos in English and Spanish. They have also created promotional materials in several languages. As we've headed into rolling out OurREACH™ to additional Early Adopter healthcare and social service organizations, Interns have been involved in extensive preparation for these roll-outs, including on how OurREACH™ fits into customer workflows, e.g., integrating with EHRs & CRMs. Some Interns have engaged in discussions and demos with our customers and potential customers, and others have been involved in other ways. All our Interns were virtual, and the team stretched across a myriad of time zones, ranging from Cambodia to Washington State in the U.S., with other members in other locations stretching across the US, Spain, Greece, and Ecuador. Despite this barrier, everyone communicated and collaborated closely through Zoom meetings, Slack, Trello, Canva, Google Suite, and other shared platforms. A weekly All-Team meeting of staff and Interns engaged and kept Interns up to date on the various projects on which their peers were working. Visit https://www.lambentdata.com/summer-22-interns to learn more about our amazing summer Interns. Thank you very much to the Princeton University Pace Center for Civic Engagement R.I.S.E. (Recognizing Inequities and Standing for Equality) program and the Princeton University Center for Career Development for facilitating the involvement of Princeton Interns. Also, thank you to the Wellesley College Hive Internship Project program for providing Wellesley Interns with the opportunity to work with Lambent. And of course, a huge thank you to all our Summer ‘22 Interns. We greatly appreciate all their hard work while learning and contributing to Lambent’s mission of equipping and empowering providers and patients/clients to improve outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.
